Webinar on Investing in the Future of Ontario’s Greenbelt: A blueprint for advancing conservation finance
Every year, the Greenbelt provides $3.2 billion worth of ecosystem services for communities across Southern Ontario. The region has long been a source of economic growth and prosperity, but development pressures are creating challenges for the Greenbelt’s ecosystems to continue being a source of health and well-being for local communities. In the absence of growing investments in Ontario’s Greenbelt to compete with development pressures, ecosystems in the region will soon no longer be able to meet the demand of local populations for water, food, and outdoor recreation opportunities.
