# About this event

Join us to build awareness and celebrate the strengths of people with FASD! Bring your own picnic and enjoy complimentary beverages and cupcakes. Let’s come together for a day of fun, community, and support!

The event will kick off at 10:30 AM with free drinks and will continue with a blessing from an Indigenous Elder, inspiring talks, and a proclamation from City Councillor Jeff Leiper.

Socialize, network, engage in meaningful conversations, and explore resource tables while enjoying freezies and cupcakes (vegan and gluten free options available).

A variety of activities will be available for your family to enjoy, from Lego building, face painting, and equine therapy. Don’t miss the bubble artist performance, sensory gym!

There will also be a Human Library where you can ask questions to the Library members. A few of the specialties that Library members will be able to speak on are intersectionality between FASD and historically underserved communities, advocacy for disability and accessibility rights and mental health support for all, life planning such as wills, trusts, estate planning and guardianship, and much more!

With indoor and outdoor spaces, the event will be a delight rain or shine, and a quiet room will be available for those needing a sensory-safe space.

Register now for a day filled with fun, learning, and community!

  • Families can set up picnics on the patio (families must bring their own picnic) or have the option of purchasing take-out from Baja Burger Shack near the beach

# About FASD

Approximately 4% of Canadians have Fetal Alcohol Spectrum Disorder (FASD). To raise awareness and help build a more supportive community for people with FASD and their families, FASD Ontario breaks down everything you need to know about this disorder.
