This Community of Practice Call is hosted by The Dr. Peter Centre's National Capacity-Building Community of Practice for Harm Reduction Services.
Mary Vaccaro, YWCA Hamilton and Marcie McIlveen, HAMSMART/K6 will highlight their journey in developing an Urgent Public HEalth Needs Site (UPHNS) for Women and Gender Expansive populations.
Here are some of the key topics they will cover:
- Enhancing post-smoking chill-out areas in the absence of safer inhalation methods
- Providing on-site reproductive health care supplies, including pregnancy tests and Plan B
- Co-developing support services with the Sex Workers Action Program
- Ensuring gender inclusivity for women (cis and trans), and non-binary individuals
This call will be hosted by Cassandra Smith, Knowledge Translation Lead, Frontline Solutions, Dr. Peter Centre.
The call will be conducted in English with simultaneous French translation.
