The first in-person Canadian Fall Prevention Conference in six years will be held April 9 and 10, 2025 at the bright and spacious Bram & Bluma Appel Salon, Toronto Reference Library in downtown Toronto.
Parachute is hosting this conference along with co-host KITE (Knowledge. Innovation. Talent. Everywhere.)/University Health Network. We are pleased to invite you to join colleagues from across Canada to attend this event that will highlight new research and knowledge, explore the implementation of promising practices, and learn about cross-cutting issues to prevent and mitigate the impact of falls and falls-related injuries on diverse populations. Supported by CIHR’s Institutes of Aging and Musculoskeletal Health and Arthritis, the 2025 Canadian Fall Prevention Conference will bring together healthcare professionals, academics, researchers, government representatives, public health/injury prevention and industry leaders working in fall prevention.
The Bram & Bluma Appel Salon is a beautiful public venue is located at the crossroads of Bloor Street and Yonge Street, close to restaurants, sporting events, shopping, museums and attractions. # Call for Abstracts
The Call for Abstracts has been released and abstracts are being accepted until October 31, 2024. Abstracts are to address seniors’ fall or injury prevention, either as research studies or practice/community initiatives. Abstracts will be accepted as:
- Digital poster presentations with 3-min oral presentation
- Individual (oral) presentations
- Panel presentations
- Workshops
