Guidance Document and Framework for Anti-Racist Approaches to Research and Analytics at ICES

The importance of collecting and using race and related data responsibly for health system improvement has been highlighted by communities, human rights advocates, equity researchers and other groups advocating for anti-racist research. To address these calls to action, ICES consulted with members of the public, external health equity experts, as well as internal staff, scientists and senior leaders to develop a Guidance Document and Framework for Anti-Racist Approaches to Research and Analytics.

QIP Guidance Document 2023/24

This guide is for people who are involved in developing and submitting a Quality Improvement Plan (QIP) for their organization. The guide is designed to inform and provide instruction on how to prepare for the QIP, who should be consulted, how to develop and submit QIP through QIP Navigator, and what resources are available. This guidance will be most useful to new users or people who are looking for a refresh of the QIP process.

Common Quality Improvement Plan Indicators for Comprehensive Primary Healthcare: Technical Specifications (Updated 2022)

This document contains technical specifications for the five common Quality Improvement Plan (QIP) indicators that were developed with Alliance members to support meaningful quality improvement in our sector. These indicators were selected by the time-limited Quality Improvement Working Group, approved by the Performance Management Committee (PMC), now known as the Equity, Performance, Improvement, and Change (EPIC) Committee and endorsed by membership of the Alliance for Healthier Communities.

Vaccine Credentials: Implementation Plan for Canadian Mosques

The mosque is an institutional pillar of the Canadian Muslim community and is integral to the spiritual and mental health of our communities. Many Canadian Muslims have high-risk medical conditions or live in hotspot COVID-19 regions, and within the community there are pockets with much lower rates of vaccination compared to the rest of Canada. This implementation plan invites providers to offer compassionate explanations, reasonable accommodations, and more to ensure majority community support and vaccine uptake to keep mosques healthy and safe during the COVID-19 pandemic.
